I desire my child to participate in the complete camp program and all activities unless I advise you otherwise in writing.
The camp has an exciting trips and travel program. Sometimes campers will travel by camp van or contracted bus service (school bus and coach style) for day trips and overnight trips to locations which could be several hours from camp.
I agree that having taken such precautions as in your discretion are deemed advisable, the Camp shall not be held responsible for any sickness or accident to my child. If for any reason my child requires medical attention beyond that furnished by the Camp, or covered by the Health and Accident insurance provided, I agree to be responsible for any additional expenses incurred.
I give Echo Hill permission to reproduce and publish any photo, picture, video or likeness of my child for advertising or any other purpose.
In the event I cannot be reached in an EMERGENCY I hereby give permission to the physician selected by the Camp Director to hospitalize, secure proper treatment for and to order injection, anesthesia or surgery for my child.
Included in the Tuition Fee
Laundry, all program supplies, instruction in all camp activities, most trips and many special outings.
Registration Fee
A $700 registration fee must accompany your application. This fee is applied to the tuition but it will be retained if the reservation is cancelled after March 1, 2019. If the application is submitted after March 1, 2019, the deposit will be retained if the reservation is cancelled 21 days after receipt of the application. After May 1, 2019 a 1.5% per month finance charge will be applied to any unpaid balance.
There is no reduction for late arrival or early departure. A 5% DISCOUNT will be allowed on tuition for two or more children in one family who are full season candidates. In case of withdrawal on account of illness incurred at camp, one-half the remaining fee will be refunded. In case of dismissal or voluntary withdrawal, there will be no refund.
Canteen Deposit
$150 for 8 weeks, $75 for 4 weeks, or $50 for 2 weeks will be deposited with the camp canteen to cover the cost of stamps, stationery, snacks, film, batteries, soap, T-shirts, spending money, most special trips, yearbook, etc. The canteen deposit will be included on your bill. Canteen deposit for CIT’s and CA’s (10th and 11th graders) will be $225 for 8 weeks or $125 for 4 weeks. If a balance remains at the season’s end, it will be refunded upon request at camp or by mail. Please note that the canteen deposit does not cover some of our off-campus trips that your child might participate in.
Insurance
The camp assumes no financial responsibility for sickness or accident but will do everything possible to protect the health and safety of the camper. Each camper will be covered by a group medical and accident policy during his stay at camp and while traveling to and from the camp. This insurance will cost $12.00 per week.
Personal Possessions
Valuable watches, jewelry and other expensive items of clothing and equipment should be left at home, as well as cell phones, iPads, laptops, "fit" watches and other “screen” devices. When pocket money is needed, it is withdrawn from the canteen account. Campers are not permitted to keep cash. Any camper who brings marijuana, drugs or alcohol to camp will be sent home.
The directors reserve the right, at their discretion, to withdraw any camper whose influence or actions are deemed unsatisfactory to Echo Hill or who will not live within the rules and policies of Echo Hill. If this occurs, no reduction or return of any fee, or any part thereof will be made.
