Echo Hill Camp's staff is the heart and soul of our camp program. ​

Echo Hill Camp offers a great place for kids, and an ideal work experience. Since 1914, Echo Hill Camp has provided generations of campers with a supportive community where their lives are enriched through the friendships they form and the experiences they have at camp.

Campers and staff return to Echo Hill Camp year after year because of the feeling of tradition, community, and belonging that they experience. For many campers & staff, their time at camp is what they look forward to all year long. The fun and the friendships that are built at EHC provide life-long childhood memories for our campers.

We pride ourselves on our high-quality staff, a diverse group of talented and caring individuals. We seek enthusiastic, fun, and responsible young adults who care about the safety and well-being of our campers, each other, and the natural environment.

​​Our culturally diverse staff represent carefully selected candidates from across the country and around the world who have been recruited for their experience, skills, character, leadership, and affinity toward working with kids. Echo Hill Camp's resident staff also include a registered nurse, assistant directors and an associate director. Approximately 70% of our staff return from year to year and many of our staff grew up at camp!! No matter where our counselors come from, all of them are passionate about working with children.

All Echo Hill Camp staff members complete a thorough application, background check and screening process, as well as an extensive on-site training before camp begins. Staff members must have current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications, and many staff members have additional certifications and qualifications in their program areas (like Lifeguard, U.S. Coast Guard License, Archery Instructor, and U.S. Waterski, U.S. Sailing, etc...). Echo Hill's hiring procedures are established by local, state, and federal regulations, and our accreditation is based on the highest standards developed by the camping industry.
