We are so happy to have such amazing campers here at Echo Hill Camp. Many of them have been kind enough to send us their thoughts on what Echo Hill Camp means to them. Here are just a few!
“What makes camp so great is that barriers are torn down. We are free to be one with anything around us. We become a community, we become ourselves, we are in our purest form. In a time where perfection is so unobtainable, yet we are pressured so badly to obtain it. This is a place where you can breathe again.” –Holly C.
“Every high schooler’s dream is to be able to fit in while still being yourself. At Echo Hill, it’s easy to do both.”
– Austin P.
“I feel bad for my friends who aren’t at Echo Hill. They’re missing out on a lot of fun and sailing!” – Rebecca K.
“The past 9 years at EHC as a camper have changed my entire life. I love echo hill!” –Joseph S.
“Barefoot!” –Katie R.
“Echo Hill Camp has the best united community that I have ever experienced. At Echo Hill a ten year old can be friends with an older staff member as well as kids in their own age group. Age doesn’t matter as long as friendship and self-confidence are present, and at Echo Hill they are.” –Beth T.
“Echo Hill Camp is a way to disconnect from the outside world, without it I wouldn’t be as open minded or happy hearted as I am today. Definitely best part of my year.” –Cheyenne M.
“I spend all of the year campsick and all of camp happy” –Josh S.
“Camp has every activity you can imagine!” –Walter W.
“Really fun activities. I thought it would be some fun sailing and an awesome time. It’s 10x better.” –Brigid D.
"Echo Hill is a place, a place where you can be you without judgment. No matter how long you go, whether it’s 2 weeks or 8, there is a huge sense of freedom and complete liberation from the “real world”. I have made the best friends I’ll ever have at this camp. You are put with a group of people your age who wouldn’t necessarily be in your friend group at school and you learn absolutely everything about each other. Echo Hill camp is my place.” – Sarah B.
“The best part of camp is meeting new people every year you come.” – Taylor B.
“We create a community that accepts everyone. No matter who you are you’ll find people you’ll be close with the rest of your life.” – Carter B.
“Echo Hill is a fun, safe environment that provides so many different activities to choose from. It’s a great family community and you can really feel the love and unity of everyone around.” – Rachel O.
“I like all the activity choices and how shoes are optional!!” – Emily B.
“The cool thing at camp is to be yourself.” – Emma Mae R.
